“Kindness is a wonderful way to cope with tragedy.”

“More told me that doing acts of kindness is a great way of feeling good about yourself. It’s a way of feeling good about other people.”

His group, Partners in Kindness, sends regular emails to more than 5,000 subscribers around the world, encouraging them to help others.

“Even for people who have no religion, it’s a very spiritual thing—kindness.”

Greenbaum told me that being nice to others can have a transformative effect on each of us.

“You find yourself smiling more often. You’ll find yourself happier. And then you’ll find yourself moving on to even bigger acts of kindness.”
